Ethiopia Tours

This ultimate mammal voyage commences with an exploration of the high altitude Bale Mountains, home of the critically endangered Ethiopian Wolf - the world’s rarest canid. Our next destination, Awash National Park, teams with plains game, including herds of the rare Soemmerring’s Gazelle, the regal Beisa Oryx, Swayne’s Hartebeest, Greater and Lesser Kudu and Gerenuk; more secretive species found in the National Park include Lion, Leopard, Striped Hyena, Aardwolf and Aardvark. The grand finale of our travels is a spectacular trek through the lofty heights of the Simien Mountains, with its impressive aggregations of Gelada Baboons and chances for the magnificent Walia Ibex. A further highlight of this tour includes Gondar, renowned for its medieval castles and our extension takes us to the remote Omo Valley famed for its highly adorned nomadic tribes.
