Central African Republic Tours

  • Central African Republic - Photo Gallery

The Central African Republic, the very mention of this country conjures up images of deepest, darkest Africa and indeed this destination is for the intrepid few seeking some very special birds and mammals. On this ultimate wildlife voyage we will explore Dzanga-Sangha National Park forming part of an immense tri-nation reserve between the CAR, Congo and Cameroon. We will visit the only site on earth with access to tracking habituated Western Lowland Gorillas and the gorillas, along with the likes of wild Chimpanzees, Forest Elephant, Bongo, Sitatunga, Giant Forest Hog and a host of endemic forest wildlife, make this a prime African wildlife destination.

The birding is equally rewarding and highpriority species include Grey-necked Rockfowl, Sangha Forest Robin, Plumed Guineafowl, Spot-breasted Ibis, Lyre-tailed Honeyguide, Grant’s Bluebill, White-crested Tiger Heron, Red-crowned Malimbe, Ja River Scrub Warbler, Sandy Scops Owl and a host of other little known African rainforest specials!
